Providing peace of mind for family and residents

At Acorn Court, nothing makes us happier than hearing that we have given a family back their peace of mind, knowing that their loved one is safe and happy.  In order to give the best possible care, we use a variety of ways to regularly gather feedback from our residents and those closest to them. We listen intently to our residents and their families in our anonymous annual survey. Their feedback is deeply valued and used to continually improve our service.

This is the heartwarming response to our 2021 survey.

Kindness, dignity and respect

100% of families said that their loved ones are treated with kindness and compassion, dignity and respect. It is important to us that we support our resident’s loved ones too, and so we are pleased that 93% of families feel they could speak to senior management if they wish, while 95% of residents said they would recommend Acorn Court to a friend. One resident told us, “It feels like home.”

Compassionate, personalised care

Our loving and attentive team receives on-going training and support to provide residents with the quality residential, nursing and dementia care that they deserve. So we were happy to learn that 96% of residents feel the team knows their needs and preferences well, while 93% of families believe they provide the care residents need. One resident told us: “You couldn’t find a better home than Acorn Court. The food and the care is very good.”

A happy home

Our vibrant and happy home encourages friendships and connections through a variety of meaningful activities to enjoy together. And so, we were thrilled that 100% of residents feel they can spend their time as they choose, doing things they enjoy. One resident who lives here with his wife told us: “We could not have found a more perfect place to spend our late years together.”

Safety during Covid-19

Our main focus throughout the unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic has been to keep residents safe and families regularly updated, and so we are thrilled that 100% of residents believe our team has done all they can to keep them safe. 100% of residents also agree we have supported them to maintain relationships with their loved ones throughout this period. One resident told us: “I like being able to stay connected with my family” while another said, “I feel safe and comfortable here.”
